When their real father goes to prison, three brothers employ a charismatic, wayward schemer to fill in for him. What starts out as a commercial partnership turns into something far more complex and compelling: a family unlike any we've ever seen. At the local sports goods store, the three brothers locate their hired father, Ron Snuffkin (Tyler Labine). As the patriarch of the Gunderson family, Ron will be compelled to draw on a wide range of skills and a huge bag of tricks to care for the boys. Gary Gunderson, 11, is a bright and street-savvy leader who is every bit the con man his father is; and Brandon Gunderson, 13, is a gentle free spirit who simply goes along for the ride. Robby Gunderson, 8, is a loose cannon who does not respond well to authority; Gary Gunderson, 11, is a bright and street-savvy leader who is every bit the con man his father is; and Maggie Morales (Natalie Martinez), Robby's second-grade teacher and Ron's love interest, may be the sole constant in the lives of this oddball group. While Sons of Tucson is based on the problems of raising a child as a single father, nothing in the Gunderson household is as it seems. Both parties will be kept on their toes by a continuous chess match between Ron and the boys, as neither can afford to give up too much power or independence.
