Twenty years ago, when John Clayton's parents died and abandoned him in the African jungle, he was reared by apes and eventually became the courageous Tarzan. Tarzan is captured by his millionaire uncle, Richard Clayton, the CEO of the mighty Greystoke Industries, and returned against his will to his family's residence in New York City. Resisting captivity, he escapes into the concrete jungle of New York City, where he meets the courageous NYPD detective Jane Porter. Jane's neatly organized life is thrown upside down by Tarzan's perilous and genuinely pure morality. Jane, who is in a romantic relationship with another member of the force, Detective Michael Foster, must choose between reason and instinct, civilization and pure humanity, her head and her heart.
