Tenacious D: The Greatest Band on Earth was a television series that aired on HBO from 1997 to 2000. It contained fictionalized narratives of the real-life band Tenacious D, led by Jack Black and Kyle Gass. Tenacious D's The Complete Masterworks DVD contains all of the show's episodes. Many of the songs performed at the performance were later recorded for their studio albums Tenacious D and The Pick of Destiny.
