The Avengers

The Avengers is a 1960s British television series. Dr. David Keel and his assistant, John Steed, were the Avengers' first targets. After Hendry's departure after the first season, Steed took over as the primary character, aided by a number of aides. Cathy Gale, Emma Peel, and later Tara King were Steed's most famous assistants. Later episodes had more science fiction and fantasy elements, as well as parody and British eccentricity.
