Steve Irwin and his wife Terri hosted a nature documentary television series called The Crocodile Hunter. Because of Irwin's commitment to animals and the show's unorthodox methodology, it became a successful franchise. Two television series, The Crocodile Hunter Diaries and Croc Files, were created as a result of the film The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course's success. Animal Planet aired the show, and it has since been syndicated internationally on a variety of networks.
