Comic The character of Larry Sanders, a paranoid and insecure presenter of a late night talk show, was created by Garry Shandling using his own experiences as a talk show host as a point of inspiration. Larry, along with his obedient TV sidekick Hank Kingsley and his fiercely protective producer Artie, enables Garry Shandling and his talented writers to look behind the scenes and show us a convincing slice of life behind the camera. This is accomplished by showing us what it's like to have Larry as a character.
