The New People
The New People is a 1969 American television series on ABC that centered on a group of young college students returning from a vacation to Southeast Asia when their plane crashed on an island in the south Pacific Ocean. The crash killed several college students and all except one adult, who was severely injured and ultimately died. The only human life on the island was that of the surviving students. The island was unique in that it had been constructed as a potential site for an above-ground nuclear test that never occurred, leaving all of the facilities and supplies undisturbed and ready for use by the survivors.
