The Octonauts

Children's television series The Octonauts, produced by Silvergate Media for Cbeebies, is a popular British children's show. Brown Bag Films, the company behind the animated series, is based in Ireland, however the British voice actors are used. Vicki Wong and Michael C. Murphy of Meomi Design Inc. wrote the American-Canadian children's books for which the TV series is based. In The Octonauts, a group of eight intrepid adventurers live in an undersea base called the Octopod from which they embark on underwater expeditions in a fleet of aquatic vehicles. Jacques Cousteau, Star Trek, and Thunderbirds all come to mind when it comes to the subject matter. In spite of being science fiction, the creatures and sites encountered by the team are actual marine animals in their natural environments.
