A peaceful story about two boys who had extremely different childhoods. On the one side, there is Kai, who was born as the son of a prostitute, and who has been playing the deserted piano in the woods close to his house ever since he was a tiny child. And on the other side, you have Syuhei, who was essentially raised by the piano due to the fact that he comes from a distinguished line of pianists. However, it is their shared experience with the piano that would ultimately lead to the paths of their lives becoming intertwined.
