We are in the 2030s. The mysterious detective Kogor Akechi leads the Boy Detectives Club. The group uses their unique skills to solve both big and small problems. One day, the boy Yoshio Kobayashi meets the club member Kensuke Hanazaki. Due to the effects of the "Unidentifiable Mist," Kobayashi's body can't die, but he wants to die and avoids other people. Hanazaki asks him to join the Boy Detectives Club because he is interested in him. Fate brought them together because Kogor Akechi and the Fiend With Twenty Faces, the biggest bad guy of the time, are tied together.
