Based on the killings of Richard Speck. Warren Stacy began murdering women while naked, minimizing any physical evidence left behind, as his odd behavior causes rejection from innumerable women. Detective Leo Kessler believes Stacy is guilty and, over his partner's protests, plants evidence to convict him. Kessler and his family are left to defend themselves after Stacy is released on a technicality.
