Jack Carter, a man who lives in a continual sense of remorse, takes his tech-obsessed family on a Christmas vacation to the mountains in the goal of bonding with them. While on vacation, Jack and his family run across a long-lost, uber-competitive buddy of Jack's, who now lives the life of luxury Jack longs for.
