A huge success with three books published under the pen name Gabriel August, Liam Bradley (Dylan Bruce) is inexplicably unknown to his legions of readers. After writing his first book to heal from a broken relationship, Liam has grown tired of writing only romantic fantasy, as evidenced by a charming but honest book reviewer, Sophie Atkinson (Amy Acker), whom he meets on a plane. They start dating in Sophie's hometown of Portland, Oregon, where Liam is looking for inspiration for his latest entry.
