YU Gwan-sun is imprisoned during Japanese colonial control for starting the March 1 Movement. YU rallies her fellow prisoners against Japan. The Japanese security head feels resistance and tortures a convict to find out who's behind it. Later, Gwan-sun pretends to follow the Japanese while plotting another demonstration. This campaign develops beyond prison, and YU is tortured again. Her spirit is freer than ever when she dies two days before her release.
