A Scene at the Sea
When deaf garbage man Shigeru (Kurôdo Maki) discovers a damaged surfboard on one of his rounds, he is intrigued, despite his lack of surfing skills. As a result, he restores the board and heads out with his devoted love Takako (Hiroko Oshima), who is also deaf, to learn how to surf the waves. He has misfortunes, and the locals mock him. Shigeru, however, may finally get a chance to become one with the sea and the surfing community with the assistance of a shop owner who was once a surfing legend.
