Against a Crooked Sky

In this story, the eldest daughter of a pioneer family is kidnapped by a mysterious Indian tribe. The eldest son of the family is looking for her. When he wants to get his sister back, he must give up his own life by passing the test of the "Crooked Sky." Then, he must protect his sister from an executioner's arrow. At some point during the journey, he hires a broken down, drunk prospector to help him find the unknown tribe and save his sister.
