All Quiet on the Western Front

At the start of World War I, Paul Baumer is a young German patriot who wants to fight for what he thinks is right. Propaganda at school made him and his friends want to join the army right away after high school. When the horrors of war become too much to bear, and as his friends die or are seriously injured, Paul wonders if it makes sense to fight over a few hundred yards of war-torn land.
