Alone in Berlin

June 1940, Berlin While Nazi propaganda trumpets the regime's victory over France, a Prenzlauer Berg kitchen-living room is filled with anguish. At the front, the son of Anna and Otto Quangel was killed. This working-class couple had previously trusted in the 'Führer' and enthusiastically followed him, but they now recognize that his promises are nothing more than falsehoods and deception. They began mailing postcards in protest and to raise awareness: "Stop the war machine!" Assassinate Hitler! They distribute these cards at the doorways to tenement buildings and stairwells, putting their lives at risk. However, the SS and Gestapo are quickly on their tails, and even their neighbors pose a threat.
