An Early Rain
Cheol (Shin Seong-il), a humble auto mechanic, and Yeong-hui (Kim Yeong-hui), a maid at the home of the French ambassador, happen to meet by coincidence one rainy day. To be successful in life, Cheol has a strong desire to do so. His father is a businessman, and he claims to be the owner of a luxury automobile, which he then gives to Yeong-hui as a gift. Yeong-hui, who is attracted to Cheol, also claims to be the daughter of the French ambassador, and the two make a pact to meet only on rainy days, when she may conceal her true identity by donning an expensive French raincoat, to avoid being recognized. Cheol and Yeong-hui continue to go on romantic outings in the rain, and their feelings for one another grow stronger with each passing day...
