Arizona Dream
With his freshly caught halibut in tow, an Innuit hunter hurries home on his sled. As a real-life and imagined fish, this fish appears throughout the entire film. As a naturalist's assistant, Axel tags fish in the city of New York. He is content in his current location, but a messenger arrives to transport him to Arizona for his uncle's wedding. In order to bring Axel into the family business, a pretense must be employed. In Arizona, Axel meets two strange women: one who is vibrant and needy, and the other who is afflicted by neuroses and family turmoil. He becomes romantically connected with one of them, while the other, who is wealthy but miserable, entertains a group of pet turtles with accordion music.
