Ashes of Time

The film is divided into five segments, each representing one of the five seasons in the Chinese calendar. The story is set in the world of jianghu, or martial arts. Ouyang Feng has spent several years in the western desert. When the woman he loved chose to marry his elder brother instead of him, he left his home in White Camel Mountain. He becomes an agent instead of pursuing fame. When individuals approach to him with the desire to kill someone who has mistreated them, he connects them with a swordsman who can help them.
