Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra

Cleopatra, the Egyptian Queen, wagers against Julius Caesar, the Roman Emperor, that her people are still powerful, even if the time of the Pharaohs is past. She swears (against all sense) to build Caesar a new palace in three months. Edifis receives this ambiguous accolade because all of her other architects are either too busy or too conservative in style. He must construct the palace and be coated in gold, or he will be eaten by crocodiles. Edifis enlists the aid of an old friend: Gaul's legendary Druid Getafix, who concocts a marvelous potion that grants magical strength. Asterix and Obelix accompany the elderly Druid on his voyage to Egypt in order to assist and defend him. When Julius Caesar learns of the project's success, he orders his men to attack the construction site in order to win the bet and avoid losing face. But, like the pirates, he underestimated Asterix and Obelix.
