Berserk: The Golden Age Arc 1 - The Egg of the King

Guts, an incredibly powerful sword-for-hire, lacks direction in his life, waging battle after battle. All of this abruptly changes when he meets Griffith, a handsome and charismatic young man who commands the Band of the Hawk mercenary force, and is defeated by him. After Guts joins the Band and their connection begins to develop, Casca, the fierce, lone swordswoman of the Band of the Hawk, finds it difficult to accept Guts and the impact he has on the world. While the two men begin to battle together, Griffith continues to rise to prominence, ostensibly to achieve his mysterious, foretold objectives. How far will Guts and Griffith go to achieve these objectives, and where will fate lead the two men?
