"Beyond the Blackboard," which is based on a true story, is about a 24-year-old first-time teacher who makes a difference in the lives of the homeless kids she teaches in a shelter's makeshift class. During the 1980s, this movie tells the story of a new teacher who gets a job that is more difficult than she thought. She ends up teaching homeless kids in a school that is in a room and called "The School with No Name." In order for her to be a true teacher for these kids, she has to get over some personal prejudices. There are also obstacles like not having enough books and supplies to help the kids learn.
