Quinn Forte possessed everything: power, wealth, an idolatrous brother, and a lady who adored him. He, too, had adversaries. He loses everything in the course of one night. Quinn is set up and arrested after being betrayed by someone in his inner group. His father, the patriarch of the criminal organization, is assassinated, and his brother suspects Quinn of orchestrating the assassination. When he is released from prison, he attempts to flee the monsters of his past, but this proves impossible. Campbell, "The Company's" brutal new head, will not let him leave in peace. As a result, rather than fleeing, Quinn fights back. He teams up with his former henchman and friend, The Swede, and confronts his adversaries squarely.
