Bottle Rocket
(Wes Anderson's feature debut was influenced by this short film.) The banality of criminal activity. Dignan and Anthony, two young males, walk down the street discussing about "Starsky and Hutch." They're on their way to break into someone's home. They go to a café and play pinball after that. They dispute about the break-in and discuss another strategy with their pal Bob. To intimidate, they chat to a guy about buying a pistol. Anthony enters a car with the intent of stealing a wallet. They arrange and fake a heist with Bob and discuss it later at a burger stand: armed robbery for $183. They're happy. The two companions compete in a race.
