Burden of Dreams

Work on Werner Herzog's epic "Fitzcarraldo" starts in 1982, but soon there are problems with casting and with Herzog's own stubbornness about not using special effects. It took a long time to reshoot a lot of the movie because the main actor was replaced. Then, his crew had to move an old-fashioned steamboat over a mountain with only their own strength. Trying to make his vision come true, Herzog vows to finish the movie even if it means he dies. Even if it means that he dies.
