Messalina, played by the beautiful Betty Roland, is a power-hungry nymphomaniac who will do anything to become Empress of Rome. She fights in the gladiator arena to get Caligula's attention, and it doesn't take long for her to reach her goal. This upsets the Emperor's youngest sister Agrippina, who wants her son Nero to become ruler of Rome one day. Agrippina's plans to get rid of Caligula work, but Messalina ruins her fun by getting in bed right away with his successor, Claudius. But Messalina is too bad to settle down with one man, so she sleeps with everyone she sees, including a grotesque but well-endowed prostitute-goer, a randy midget, her eunuch(!?!), and an ex-lover. When she gets pregnant and it's clear that Claudius isn't the father because he was fighting in another country, Agrippina finally sees her chance to get rid of her enemy for good.
