It is Laurel's goal to acquire one of the oldest family-owned banks in Memphis. On her trip to Memphis, Laurel meets up with an old flame named Clay, a music promoter with big dreams. In spite of her best efforts, Laurel can't help but be swayed by Clay's attempts to bring her back to her former glory as a singing pair on the verge of greatness. With the Blues capital of Memphis as her new focus, Laurel is rekindling her musical ambitions.
