Jing (Kwai Lun-Mei) is a kind piano teacher who lives a quiet life despite being paralyzed at a young age. She accuses her doctor Zhou (Chang Chen) of molesting her during a routine medical examination one day. Zhou is quickly apprehended, charged, and put on trial. Tim (Aaron Kwok) is the prosecutor in the case, an idealistic lawyer who entered the legal profession to punish the guilty. However, the more Tim's investigator Nam (Liu Kai Chi) assists him in piecing together the puzzle, the more complicated the case becomes. Tim soon begins to doubt the veracity of Jing's story.
