Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant

Darren Shan is an ordinary teenage child. It comes to his and his friend Steve's attention that there will soon be a Freak Show in town, and they make it their mission to acquire tickets to see the show. They do, and the three of them end up going to "Cirque du Freak" together, where they witness a variety of bizarre acts, such as a wolf-man and a bearded lady.
