Colewell
In Colewell, Pennsylvania, folks gather at the post office for mail and gossip. That is until the office closes, leaving devoted clerk Nora (Karen Allen) to fight for her job and reflect on the decisions she's made to stay in Colewell. Tom Quinn's touching, melancholic picture is a homage to small-town life and nostalgia and recollections of the past. As her future and history loom, Nora says, "I don't want to be lonely," but what she means is unclear. Colewell beautifully portrays rural America while reflecting on a life well spent.
