Daddy Long Legs
Jervis Pendleton, a wealthy American, has an accidental meeting in an orphanage in France with a bubbly resident who is 18 years old, and he decides to pay for her education at a college in New England without revealing his identity. She is persistent in her correspondence with the unknown benefactor, but she never receives a reply from him. Even though there is a significant age gap between them, they quickly develop romantic feelings for one another after he pays her a visit at her school some years later while still concealing his identity.
