Day of the Stranger, loosely based on Mark Twain's classic novella 'The Mysterious Stranger,' revives the acid western genre of the 1970s. Caine Farrowood is a bounty hunter working for the vicious kingpin Loomweather. One day, a bounty retrieval goes wrong, and Caine is presumed dead. He strangely awakens back home to the comforts of his wife Christina, just as he believes his life is finished. Caine is perplexed and perplexed as to how he got home, but he is soon involved in the retrieval of another bounty. This one is massive, and it may cost Caine not only his life, but also his sanity as he finds himself opposed against someone who could very well be the fallen angel himself.
