The three stooges are carpenters who become policemen. The police don't know who the burglar is who is dressed as a gorilla, and the head of the citizens league, Mr. Dill, is threatening the job of the police chief. The boys go on the case and act as night watchmen at an antiques store. When they catch the thief, it turns out he is a real gorilla that Dill owns. After a wild fight in which he beat Dill and some other bad guys, the gorilla drank some nitroglycerin and blew himself up.
