Sue Ellen Crandell is a precocious adolescent looking forward to her mother's summer vacation. Sue Ellen may party and have fun while the babysitter looks after her rowdy younger siblings. The babysitter, however, passes away unexpectedly, leaving the Crandells cash-strapped. Sue Ellen gets a nice job in fashion by lying on her résumé about her age and expertise.
