Down
Upon discovering that the elevators in a New York City building are breaking for no apparent reason and putting passengers in danger, mechanic Mark Newman (James Marshall) and reporter Jennifer Evans (Naomi Watts) launch separate investigations into the incident. In the meantime, other elevator incidents result in several grisly fatalities, and Newman faces opposition from his company's upper management, which constructed the elevator. As a result of the investigation, the police assume that terrorists are responsible, but an even stranger explanation is in the offing.
