Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods

Battle of Gods takes place some years after the battle with Majin Buu, which determined the fate of the entire universe. Beerus, the God of Destruction, awakens after a long slumber to be visited by Whis, his attendant, and learns that the galactic tyrant Frieza has been vanquished by a Super Saiyan from the North Quadrant of the cosmos named Goku, who is also a former student of the North Kai. Goku, ecstatic about the new challenge, disregards King Kai's warning and confronts Beerus, but he is easily overwhelmed and defeats. Beerus departs, but his haunting question, "Is there anyone on Earth more worthy to destroy?" lingers. It is now up to the heroes to halt the God of Destruction before all is lost.
