Eight Men Out
Sox of 1919 is the saddest squad to win a pennant. Both their owner, Charles Comiskey, and their own players enrage the team. Most of the players didn't get what they were promised. But Buck Weaver and Shoeless Joe Jackson return to try their best. The Sox almost overcame a 3-1 deficit. 2 years later, the Sox are sued on various counts. The jury finds them innocent, but Landis has other ideas. The eight players are permanently banned, and Buck Weaver is forever trying to cleanse his name.
