Faithless
This intensely personal film was written by Ingmar Bergman and tells the story of an affair that leads to the dissolution of the marriage of an actress (Marianne) and a musician (Markus). In the interest of maintaining the relationship, Marianne moves in with her lover. However, she is going through a lot of emotional turmoil because Markus made the decision to deny her custody of their daughter. In the end, Markus makes an announcement that he may have a solution to the impasse, but this announcement leads to deception, falsehoods, and ultimately, tragedy.
