Far from Home: The Adventures of Yellow Dog
Yellow is the name given to a stray dog by Angus, a teenager. Following a few days of journey with Angus's father, John, down the coast of British Columbia, the little boy and his dog become stuck when their boat is capsized by choppy waters. Angus's parents are tireless in their pursuit of rescue teams. With the help of the intelligent Yellow Dog, Angus attempts to attract rescuers. He has been trained in wilderness survival skills by his father.
