In the end, the survivors are saved by the strange prophet Shot Bus Gus, who appears to be able to control the creatures. His route takes them through sewers as they make their way to a major city. Karate master Jean-Claude Seagal assists them along the journey as they discover that the animals come from a location known as The Hive. They make the decision to fight back and annihilate the animals now that they've gained this knowledge.
