Forbidden Games
After a Nazi air raid left Paulette's parents dead, she meets Michel, an older peasant boy, and they quickly become friends. Together, they try to make sense of the world around them, which is chaotic and falling apart. They also try to deal with death as they dig a grave for Paulette's dead dog. Eventually, though, the harsh realities of war make it hard for Paulette to stay with Michel's family.
