F/X guy Rollie Tyler now makes toys for kids. Mike is a cop, and he used to be Kim's husband. He asks Rollie to help him find a murderer. The operation goes well until an unknown person kills both the killer and Mike. Silak, Mike's boss, says the killer killed Mike, but Rollie knows that's not true. Silak had to do with Mike's death, so Leo McCarthy, the cop from the last movie who is now a private investigator, is called in to help. They find out that it's not just Silak they need to worry about.
