NBA eligibility rules have become more contentious than ever before, and players are looking for their own paths to the league. Darius Bazley, a modern-day high school basketball star, decided to forgo college and go for a $1 million internship instead, which shocked the world of basketball. Gap Year is a coming-of-age movie about a young NBA player who has to work at a corporate job while training for the NBA Draft at the age of 18. It shows how he manages to do both. During its look at the NBA's controversial one-and-done rule, Gap Year also talks to the game's most important and well-known people about the cultural and social nuances of the game.
