TRINIDAD - King Curtis, a homeless man who lives on the streets of Port of Spain, is routinely overlooked by onlookers. He talks and, when necessary, yells the truth about the stories that lie beneath the media headlines. King Curtis, as the story's narrator, introduces us to a young man named Charlie... Charlie, a resident east of the lighthouse, is making a concerted effort to keep on track. With no employment in sight, he is finding it difficult to turn down additional "opportunities." A chance for forgiveness arises when Dinah, a professional streetwalker in need of assistance, crosses his path. As the story progresses, King Curtis demonstrates the cascading effect of a person's choices, which results in both victory and tragedy.
