Chow Yun-Fat portrays Ko Chun, a well-known and exceptionally skillful gambler. Knife (Andy Lau), an enthusiastic but underwhelming gambler, sets a trap for an Indian servant on the night of a big showdown with a well-known Singaporean gambler. A blow to the head leaves Ko with amnesia and a childlike state of mind. To keep Ko safe, Knife uses Ko's gambling skills to abuse him.
