Good Morning
It portrays the narrative of two young boys who cease speaking in protest after their parents refuse to purchase a television set, a theme that filmmaker Yasujiro Ozu has explored in his films for decades. As with his dramatic films, Ozu interweaves a rich tapestry of subtle gags throughout his family picture, which is as rich as those of his comedic ones. He mocks the follies of adult society via the eyes of his kid heroes.
