Good Morning, Vietnam
Adrian Cronauer, a radio funny man, is sent to Vietnam to bring a little humor back into the lives of the troops. G.I.s and Sergeant Major Dickerson both enjoy Cronauer's irreverent view of the war, but Dickerson doesn't like the way he talks about it. While Dickerson tries to stop Cronauer from broadcasting, he pursues a relationship with a Vietnamese girl named Trinh, who shows him the terrible things that happen in war.
