It's the night before Hogswatch, which is generally a time of celebration on Discworld, but there's something fishy going on, and the criminal underbelly is abuzz with activity as a result. The jovial bearer of glee and pork-related gifts for children all across the world, the beloved Hogfather, has vanished. As if by magic, the entire mythological system of Discworld is under danger. The fate of this magnificent epoch lies in the hands of a disparate set of individuals: Susan Sto Heilt (Michelle Dockery) is a level-headed governess who seems to be the granddaughter of Death. She is led by a mythical university president named Mustrum Ridcully (Joss Ackland), a faithful manservant named Albert (David Jason), and her grandfather, who happens to be Death (Marnix van den Broeke).
